Gözde Doğan is an Adjunct Instructor at Bilkent University's Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Hacettepe University, an M.A. in Public Communication from the University of Westminster, and a B.A. in International Relations from Bilkent University. Her research focuses on discourse analysis, cultural studies, identity politics, and public diplomacy, with a particular emphasis on intercultural dialogue and conflict resolution.
Professionally, she has held senior roles at the U.S. Department of State Embassy in Ankara, including Public Diplomacy Manager and Cultural Affairs Specialist, where she designed and managed grants totaling millions of USD to foster cultural exchanges and educational partnerships. She also served as a Communications and Outreach Officer for the UNDP in Turkey, leading national sustainable development initiatives and media strategies. She co-chairs the U.S. Mission’s DEIA Council and oversees cultural heritage programs.
Her work bridges academic research and policy implementation, emphasizing cross-cultural dialogue and strategic communication. She has advised on crisis communication, managed American Spaces, and collaborated with NGOs, governments, and educational institutions to promote mutual understanding through cultural diplomacy.
