Gökhan Akay is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey. He has held academic positions at Istanbul Kemerburgaz University (2011-2017), Okan University (2010-2011), Trinity University (2006-2010), and the University of Houston (2000-2005). His research focuses on international trade, finance, and economic development, with a particular emphasis on labor economics and empirical analysis.
