Gérard Memmi is a Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Networks at Télécom Paris, a position he has held since 2009. His academic leadership includes managing the Autonomous Critical Embedded Systems (ACES) team at the Information Processing and Communication Laboratory (LTCI). Previously, he held management roles in American startups and led research at Bull Group, securing a DARPA grant for collaborative software projects.
- Research Focus: Formal methods, energy profiling programs, cybersecurity in distributed systems, blockchain technology, and real-time collaborative systems (including applications in EMR and software engineering).
- Awards: Île-de-France Digital Innovation Trophy (2019) for the Toucan project with Codecast.
- Leadership: Chair of IRT SystemX’s board, a French technological innovation institute.
His work is characterized by industrial-academic collaboration, with over 70 publications (including patents) and mentorship of more than 30 PhD students.
