Gábor Barna

Gábor Barna is a researcher at Semmelweis University, specializing in cancer research with a focus on B-cell lymphomas, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and multiple myeloma (MM). He leads the Flow Cytometry Laboratory at the Oncohematology Center within the 1st Institute of Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research, where he analyzes immunophenotype and ploidy levels of tumor cells from patient samples across Hungary.

His research investigates diagnostic/prognostic markers, signaling pathways, and resistance mechanisms in lymphoma cells, aiming to improve treatment prediction and efficacy. He also contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate education through TDK and PhD student mentorship.
