Gyöngyi Kovacs is a Professor and Dean of Research at Hanken School of Economics, specializing in humanitarian logistics and sustainable supply chain management. She serves as a founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and former Director of the HUMLOG Institute. Her research focuses on disaster relief, pandemic response, and sustainable supply chains.

Research interests include humanitarian logistics innovations, disaster risk reduction, and healthcare operations.
