Gwen Mouncher

Gwen Mouncher serves as a Piano Tutor at the Guildhall Young Artists Taunton (GYAT), affiliated with the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She joined the GYAT team in 2023 and is dedicated to student mentorship and collaborative work with colleagues. Her roles include piano teaching, choral accompanying, and ensemble performances across Wales and the Southwest.

Education: Gwen holds a BMus in Music and a Master's in Piano Performance from Cardiff University, alongside DipABRSM and LRSM certifications. She further completed a PG Cert in Performance Teaching at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2019.

Professional Activities: Since 2016, she has been a member of the BBC National Chorus of Wales and works as a choral repetiteur. She teaches piano at a Welsh-medium school in Cardiff and operates her own piano teaching business, which has expanded to a multi-teacher team. Gwen actively performs in ensembles and accompanies vocal groups.

Additional Interests: Passionate about dance (Lindy Hop and Salsa) and travel, she balances artistic and recreational pursuits.
