معرفی
Guy Bosmans is a Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, KU Leuven, specializing in Clinical Psychology. He actively contributes to research on attachment theory, behavioral and emotional disorders, and their intersections with developmental psychology, ADHD, and resilience. His work spans both empirical studies and clinical interventions, including Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT).
Research Interests: His research explores the interplay between oxytocin and dopamine in trust-based learning, the development of attachment in middle childhood and adolescence, and the role of attachment in psychopathology (e.g., suicidal ideation, depression). He investigates how early life stress, parenting, and physiological factors (e.g., DNA methylation) shape emotional and cognitive outcomes across developmental stages.
Projects: Current projects include studies on oxytocin’s role in rodent models (2023-2029), attachment and ADHD (2024-2028), and resilience development (2022-2026). He serves as promotor or co-promotor in multi-year initiatives, often integrating neurobiological and psychological frameworks.
Publications: Recent works focus on oxytocin-dopamine interactions, attachment dynamics, and environmental sensitivity in parenting. His 2025 articles examine trust violation learning in mice, state attachment security, and the neurobiological underpinnings of attachment. Earlier studies (2024-2022) address ADHD, loneliness, self-harm, and cultural comparisons in attachment theory.
