Guoying Zhao is an Academy Professor at the University of Oulu, Finland, and a visiting professor at Aalto University and Stanford University. She has held a tenured professorship since 2017 at the Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis (CMVS), progressing from Senior Researcher (2005-2007) to Academy Postdoctoral Researcher (2008-2011), Academy Research Fellow (2011-2017), and Associate Professor (2014-2017) before her full professorship.
