Dr. Guo-Quan Lu is a Professor jointly appointed in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. He holds a BS from Carnegie-Mellon University and a PhD from Harvard University. His research focuses on power electronics packaging, nanomaterials, and high-voltage systems, with significant contributions to SiC module development and silver sintering technologies. He has won the R&D 100 Award and is an IEEE Fellow.
