Gunnhild Nordgaard Hermstad

Gunnhild Nordgaard Hermstad is a Doctoral Research Fellow in Systematic Theology at MF University College. Her current research focuses on the concepts of sin and forgiveness within The Church of Norway, combining empirical studies with contemporary theological dialogue.

• Professional roles include leadership in the Norsk Kvinnelig Teologforening (since 2023) and editorial work for feminist theological journals.
• Extensive pastoral experience includes serving as a chaplain in Nordberg Parish (2012–2022), youth pastor in Vestre Aker (2012–2014), and student pastor at UMB (2010–2011).

Her academic background includes a Cand Theol from MF University College (2003–2009). She has held advisory roles in liturgy for Kirkerådet and contributed to theological committees addressing youth and pastoral care issues.
