Gunilla Carlsson is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at Lund University, affiliated with the Centre for Ageing and Supportive Environments (CASE) and the Proactive Ageing profile area. Her research focuses on accessibility and participation in society for older adults, particularly in public transport, digital healthcare, and urban infrastructure.
Education:

Gunilla's work investigates how welfare technology, digitalization, and physical environments affect older adults' independence and quality of life. Key projects include TWIST (welfare technology trust), NorDigHE (digital health), and Welcome In! (public building accessibility). Her research combines occupational therapy, urban planning, and emergency evacuation dynamics.
Recent publications highlight her expertise in urban mobility, social care systems, and pandemic impacts on elderly populations. She teaches at the Occupational Therapy Program and contributes to interdisciplinary medical sciences education. Current projects involve collaborations with Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak, Formas, and EU initiatives.
