Gunesh Rajan is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the UWA Medical School, University of Western Australia. He specializes in head and neck surgery, hearing restoration, and surgical reconstruction. His work contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through advancements in cochlear implantation, genetic studies of hearing loss, and oncological surgical techniques. He leads a research group investigating outcomes in head and neck cancer, middle ear mechanics, and skull base surgery. Rajan has authored over 100 publications and secured grants including a 2013–2023 project on electoracoustic stimulation funded by MED-EL.
