Guido Giarelli

Guido Giarelli is a full professor in the Department of Law, Economics and Sociology (DiGES) at the University of Chieti-Pescara. His academic focus centers on Social and Health Policies, with expertise in healthcare system resilience, policy analysis, and the sociology of health and medicine. He teaches courses such as Social and Health Policies, Medical Anthropology, and Sociology of Globalization. His research explores topics like healthcare governance, pandemic responses, and the intersection of sociology with medical practices. Recent publications address challenges in European health systems, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the role of narrative medicine in clinical contexts.
