Gudrun Zagel is an Assistant Professor at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, affiliated with the Department of International Law, European Law, and Fundamentals of Law. Her academic qualifications include a Mag. iur, Dr. iur, and LL.M. (Austin). She actively contributes to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of law, sustainability, and global governance.
Research Focus: Her work centers on European Union legal frameworks, with emphasis on:
- International investment agreements and their alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- EU mechanisms for climate finance and banking regulation under the Paris Agreement
- Legal instruments for counter-terrorism and restrictive measures (e.g., Articles 75/215 TFEU)
