معرفی
Guangyong Li is an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, affiliated with the engineering discipline. His research focuses on nanotechnology, robotics, and biomedical engineering, with a strong emphasis on applications in solar cell technology, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and exoskeleton design. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University (2006), an M.S. in Control Theory and Applications from the Beijing Institute of Control Engineering (1999), and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (1992).
His research interests span robotics and control systems, nanoscale materials characterization, and biomedical devices. Notable contributions include advancements in scanning ion conductance microscopy (SICM), dielectric microspherical lens nanoscopy, and soft exoskeletons for rehabilitation. He has also pioneered work on optogenetically engineered cells as photodetectors and novel transparent electrodes for solar cells.
Dr. Li has received prestigious awards, including the IEEE 2006 Best Paper Award and the Michigan State University Dissertation Fellowship. His work integrates nanotechnology, robotics, and materials science to address challenges in energy, health, and precision engineering. He collaborates widely, with publications in top-tier journals such as IEEE Transactions and Advanced Functional Materials.
His research group focuses on translating nanoscale innovations into practical applications, including renewable energy systems and assistive technologies. Key projects include developing adaptive exoskeletons for patients with hemiparesis and optimizing perovskite solar cells through advanced material interfaces.
