معرفی
Grigory Tikhomirov serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) within the College of Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. His research bridges chemistry, bioengineering, medicine, and nanotechnology to engineer life-like artificial systems through atomic-precision device fabrication.
His primary research focuses on hybridizing rational top-down engineering with bottom-up biomolecular assembly, particularly leveraging DNA nanotechnology for practical device development. Key objectives include creating greener, cheaper manufacturing processes and exploring self-evolving electronic devices. Research areas span Biosystems & Computational Biology, Control Systems, Power and Energy, Integrated Circuits, MEMS, and Physical Electronics.
Dr. Tikhomirov has received significant recognition, including:
- Hellman Fellow (2023)
- NSF CAREER Award (2023)
He leads the Ti Lab at Berkeley, which investigates revolutionary approaches to device manufacturing by merging semiconductor fabrication techniques with biological self-assembly principles. His course EE 143 (Microfabrication Technology) reflects his commitment to advancing micro/nano systems education.
