Grigorios Livanis is an Associate Professor of Strategy & International Business at Ohio University’s College of Business. He specializes in Global Strategy, Innovation, and Organization Design, with a focus on international business dynamics, corporate strategy, and organizational structures. His academic journey includes a PhD and MSc in Applied Economics (minoring in Mathematics and Finance) from the University of Florida under a full scholarship.
Dr. Livanis has taught extensively at Ohio University and Northeastern University, covering courses such as Business Strategy, International Business, Operations Management, and Financial Management. He is a recipient of multiple teaching awards, including Ohio University’s Excellence in Teaching Recognition (2021), Northeastern’s Excellence in Teaching Award (2010), and the General Electric Best Teacher of the Year (2018).
His research explores themes like FDI performance, third-party certifications in weak institutions, and the impact of capital structure on innovation. He has published in top management and economics journals and serves on editorial boards, including the Journal of International Business Policy and Global Strategy Journal.
