Grigore Stamatescu

Grigore Stamatescu is a Professor at the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica of Bucharest, affiliated with the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers and the Department of Automation and Industrial Informatics. He leads the AISENSE (Artificial Intelligence for SEnsing, Low-Power Networking and ICS SEcurity) laboratory.

• Research interests include networked embedded sensing, IoT, distributed information processing, industrial and energy applications, statistical learning for load forecasting, and anomaly detection in building/grid energy systems.
• Focus areas: data-driven modeling of large-scale manufacturing systems for energy efficiency.

Awards:

• Fulbright Visiting Scholar (2015-2016) at University of California, Merced
• JESH Scholar of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (2019) at Graz University of Technology

He holds a Ph.D. (2012) from the same university and is a member of IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Smart Buildings and IEEE IES Technical Committee on Industrial Agents.
