Grethe Østby

Grethe Østby is an Associate Professor at the Department of Information Security and Communication Technology, Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She completed her doctoral thesis in 2023 focusing on information security incident response in public emergency organizations. Her office is located in the Ametyst building (A111) in Gjøvik.

Her work emphasizes human factors in incident response and develops practical training methodologies like EXCON teams and serious games for security education.
