Dr. Greta Morando is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Sheffield, with visiting roles as a Visiting Fellow at LSE's Social Policy Department and UCL's Social Research Institute. Her research focuses on inequality in human capital development, emphasizing child development, education, gender dynamics, and social mobility. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Essex and is an Understanding Society Fellow 2024/2025.
Her work combines secondary data analysis and experimental methods (e.g., RCTs) to explore how family and institutional contexts shape educational and labor market outcomes. Key contributions include studies on childcare impacts on child skills, graduate labor market dynamics post-recession, and gender influences in STEM specialization.
