Greta Marthinussen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pedagogy at the University of Agder, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and Education. Her research focuses on critical perspectives of technology in education, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) and its implications for pedagogy, ethical considerations, and vocational learning environments. She is part of the 'General didactics and education policies' and 'Practice, teaching, policy in teacher education (PUPIL)' research groups.
Her work examines how AI tools like ChatGPT and generative AI impact educational practices, emphasizing philosophical and ethical dimensions. She has published extensively on deep learning in vocational education, accountability in educational research, and the role of recognition (anagnórisis) in didactic frameworks. Recent studies include analyses of teacher perceptions of deep learning assessment and the societal implications of AI in schools.
Marthinussen actively contributes to interdisciplinary dialogues, often presenting at conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
