معرفی
Gregory R. Stewart is Professor of Physics at the University of Florida's Department of Physics, leading the Condensed Matter Experiment research group. His investigations focus on novel superconducting materials under extreme conditions.
Research utilizes specific heat, susceptibility, and resistivity measurements at temperatures down to 3He and magnetic fields up to 60T. Current projects examine binary/ternary compounds for high-pressure superconductivity, beryllium-containing correlated superconductors, and iron pnictide materials. Collaborations include high-pressure physics groups and theoretical physicists at UF. Recent publications demonstrate innovations in metastable superconductor synthesis and halogen-doped iron pnictides.
Education includes a PhD from Stanford University (1975). Experimental facilities include specialized magnetometers, arc-melters, and low-temperature calorimeters capable of 16T measurements.
