Professor Gregory Ian Bain is a distinguished academic and clinician specializing in Upper Limb Orthopaedic Surgery at Flinders University's College of Medicine and Public Health. He serves as Professor of Upper Limb and Research in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and provides clinical services at Flinders Medical Centre and Nourlunga Hospital. Professor Bain's research focuses on an anatomically based approach to upper limb surgery, with special interests in reconstructive surgery of the upper limb, clinical anatomy and biomechanics, shoulder disorders (including shoulder anatomy, rotator cuff tears, and instability), distal biceps tendon injuries, and wrist pathologies (including distal radius fractures, scaphoid fractures, and carpal instability).
