Gregory Eiselein is a Professor and University Distinguished Teaching Scholar in the Department of English at Kansas State University. He serves as the Concentration Coordinator for the Cultural Studies program, overseeing its academic direction and symposia. His research focuses on cultural theory, including Marxism, feminism, postcolonialism, and gender studies, with interdisciplinary connections to literature, media, and social justice. He contributes to the department’s mission of fostering critical thinking and engagement with underrepresented cultural narratives.
Eiselein’s leadership in Cultural Studies includes organizing annual conferences featuring prominent scholars such as Chadwick Allen. His work emphasizes theoretical frameworks like poststructuralism and psychoanalysis, applied to topics like race, sexuality, and environmental humanities. He is also involved in graduate education, advising on interdisciplinary coursework and student projects.
