Gregory Davenport

Gregory Davenport is an Adjunct Professor with over 40 years of professional experience in emergency medicine, working in combat, disaster, and wilderness settings. He began his career in the military, serving for nine years in Combat Casualty Care and as a Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape (SERE) and personnel recovery specialist. Since completing his medical training, he has worked in extremely underserved areas and populations globally.

His educational background includes:

• Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) with concentration in Leadership and Organizational Behavior from AT Still University
• Master's degree in PA Medicine with concentration in Wilderness and Emergency Medicine from University of Nebraska
• PA Certificate from University of Washington
• Associate of Applied Science degree in Search and Survival Rescue

Davenport's research and professional interests focus on emergency medicine in austere environments, with particular expertise in disaster response, wilderness medicine, and global health. His work bridges traditional medical practice with survival techniques needed in remote or crisis situations through his 'Three Steps to Surviving Anything' framework. He has developed specialized curricula for medical professionals across diverse environments including desert, coastal, tropical, and arctic conditions.

As a humanitarian, Dr. Davenport has provided medical care in combat zones and disaster areas globally, including deployments to Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Haiti, India, Nepal, Vanuatu, and twice to Mosul Iraq during its liberation from ISIS.

Dr. Davenport has built three physician associate programs through medical and regional accreditation and created the George Fox University Doctor of Medical Science program with a humanitarian focus. In 2020, he established the first Emergency Management and Global Health concentration in the Doctor of Medical Science degree.

Through Greg Davenport LLC, he has provided experiential education to organizations including US Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers, US Army National Guard, Department of Energy, US Geological Survey, Microsoft, and the American Medical Association, focusing on disaster response, austere medical care, and high-stress leadership.
