Gregory Ashton is a Senior Lecturer in Physics at the Department of Physics Astronomy, Royal Holloway, University of London. He holds a PhD from the University of Southampton (2016) and has held positions at the Albert Einstein Institute, Monash University, and the Institute for Cosmology and Gravitation. His research focuses on relativistic astrophysics, neutron stars, black holes, and gravitational waves. He actively contributes to the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, co-chairing the Compact Binary Group. His work spans signal processing, detector calibration, and algorithm development for gravitational wave detection.
