Gregory Arief D Liem is an Associate Professor at the Psychology and Child & Human Development Academic Group, National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He serves as Assistant Centre Director for the Interdisciplinary Research & Partnerships in the Science of Learning in Education Centre. His research focuses on student motivation, academic engagement, teacher well-being, and adolescent development, with a strong emphasis on educational psychology and mental health in educational settings.
Dr. Liem has held editorial roles for journals such as Psychology in the Schools and Educational Psychology, and is editor of the Research on Sociocultural Influences on Motivation and Learning book series. His work spans cross-cultural studies, longitudinal analyses, and policy-related research on educational outcomes.
His research interests include exploring the interplay between motivation, engagement, and academic success, with contributions to understanding adaptability in students and the impact of peer relationships on development.
