معرفی
Gregor Gryglewski, MD, PhD, is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Child Study Center at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of mental health disorders, particularly depression and serotonin signaling. He holds a medical degree and PhD from the Medical University of Vienna. Gryglewski’s work integrates neuroimaging (e.g., PET), genetic analysis, and biomarker discovery to understand treatment outcomes and disease pathophysiology. Key areas include serotonin transporter dynamics, extracellular vesicles in depression, and neuroimaging techniques for psychiatric biomarkers. Recent studies explore ABCB1 gene variants’ effects on serotonin occupancy and the role of translocator protein in depression.
Education:
- MD, Medical University of Vienna
- PhD, Medical University of Vienna
Research Interests:
Gryglewski investigates molecular and genetic factors influencing mental health, with emphasis on serotonin pathways and neuroimaging applications. His lab develops novel biomarkers for depression treatment response through PET imaging and extracellular vesicle analysis. Current projects include pharmacological challenges to assess neurotransmitter receptor occupancy and genotype-brain connectivity links in emotion processing.
