Greg Watts

Greg Watts serves as Vice President, Academic Affairs + Provost, overseeing curriculum delivery and academic leadership. Previously, he was Dean of the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas, where he expanded faculty diversity and led $80M infrastructure projects. He holds an Executive MBA from the University of Denver, MFA in Photography from the University of Florida, and BFA in Printmaking from Kingston University, London. Additional training includes Harvard's MDP and MLE programs.

His career spans art practice, education, and administration. As an artist, his work has featured in exhibitions, and he consults in photography evaluation. He co-directed Nighthawks Gallery and chaired the Art Department at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Watts led the Center for Visual Art and served as NASAD President and Commission on Accreditation Chair.

His leadership emphasizes strategic planning, academic excellence, and student well-being. Key achievements include transforming facilities at UNT and advancing interdisciplinary arts education.
