Greg Reilly is a Professor of Law and Associate Dean for Scholarship and Faculty Development at the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School (magna cum laude) and a B.A. from Georgetown University (summa cum laude). Prior to his academic roles, he clerked for Judge Timothy B. Dyk of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and practiced law at Morrison & Foerster LLP, focusing on patent litigation.
His research and teaching intersect Intellectual Property Law with Federal Courts and Procedure, emphasizing patent dispute resolution mechanisms. Key areas include patent claim construction, judicial institutional roles, and the interplay between patent examination and invalidation processes.
Reilly has published extensively in top law reviews such as the Boston University Law Review and Southern California Law Review. He teaches Patent Law and Civil Procedure at Chicago-Kent and has held previous faculty positions at California Western School of Law and the University of Chicago Law School.
Outside academia, he is an avid basketball fan (Georgetown Hoyas and Chicago Bulls) and values his family life with his wife Erin and two children.
