Dr. Anderson's intellectual work centers on Religious Studies and Communication, with specialized focus on homiletics and C.S. Lewis scholarship. His international ministry context – including 12 years at Hong Kong's Union Church – uniquely informs his approach to cross-cultural communication and spiritual formation. As a prolific writer on Lewis's communication methodology, he maintains close ties with Wheaton's Wade Center, home to the world's largest C.S. Lewis collection.
His contributions have been recognized through multiple unspecified awards celebrating his integration of theological scholarship and practical ministry.
In his dual campus roles, Dr. Anderson provides pastoral counseling for graduate communities while teaching undergraduate communication courses. He mentors two graduate chapel assistants through structured discipleship and is pioneering virtual ministry solutions for remote students. His vocational guidance approach draws directly from his own Wheaton undergraduate crisis, where Professor Samuel Schultz's intervention redirected him toward ministry.
With deep commitment to 'communicating Christ and teaching others so to do,' Dr. Anderson actively bridges graduate-undergraduate communities while supporting international student adjustment through his extensive global ministry experience.
