Grazyne Tresoldi

Grazyne Tresoldi, DVM, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Animal Welfare Science at The Ohio State University's Department of Animal Sciences, part of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES). She holds a PhD in Animal Biology from UC Davis (2018), an MS in Agroecosystems from Federal University of Santa Catarina (2012), and a DVM from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2008). Her research focuses on enhancing dairy cattle welfare through sustainable cooling strategies, heat stress mitigation, and improving production resilience against climate challenges. She previously taught at California State University, Chico from 2018-2023. Collaborations span global producers and institutions, addressing adverse weather impacts on Ohio dairy farms and barriers to welfare implementation. She emphasizes student and industry education in responsible food production. Personal interests include photography, cross-stitching, and barbecue traditions.
