Grant Blashki

Associate Professor Grant Blashki is a practicing GP with 25 years of experience and holds positions at the University of Melbourne's Nossal Institute for Global Health and Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute. He is an Honorary Professor at Luohu Hospital Group (Shenzhen, China) and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. His roles include Lead Clinical Advisor for beyondblue and Medical Director of familydoctor.expert.

Research & Education: His research focuses on General Practice/Primary Care, Sustainability, and Mental Health. He leads the Master of Public Health subject 'Environmental Challenges and Global Health' and has co-authored over 125 peer-reviewed publications, six books, and 20+ policy reports. He has convened international conferences on GP Psychiatry and climate-related health challenges.

Affiliations: He has served as a Board Director of the Australian Conservation Foundation, mentor in the Al Gore Climate Leadership Project, co-founder of Doctors for the Environment Australia, and member of the Climate Institute's Strategic Advisory Group.

Awards: Recipient of the 2008 Major Grants Fundraising Award and 2009 Australian Evaluation Society Award. Completed the Sidney Myer Asia Link Leadership Program (2012) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
