Graham Hawkes

Dr. Graham Hawkes is a Visiting Professor in Mechanical Engineering Sciences at the University of Surrey (since 2021) and Associate Director (Delivery) at Frazer-Nash Consultancy Ltd. His academic role focuses on fostering inclusive technical skills in undergraduates for industry readiness. Professionally, he manages a multi-million-pound portfolio spanning nuclear energy, renewable systems, and infrastructure projects, leading teams of over 80 specialists.

He holds a MEng (1st Class Honours) and D.Phil from the University of Oxford in Engineering Science, specializing in aerodynamic instrumentation. His research emphasizes wind farm aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer, particularly addressing offshore wind energy challenges like blockage effects and wake dynamics.
