Graham Carpenter is Assistant Professor in the Department of Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts (BECA) at San Francisco State University, specializing in television production. His research investigates how people use imagination and media to relate to one another through a media psychology perspective, with recent work focusing on imagined interactions and mobile/online dating apps.
Beyond academia, he has over fifteen years of experience in live broadcasting for networks including ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, TNT, and FOX. His camerawork is featured on the 14th season of American Ninja Warrior, and he was part of an Emmy-winning technical team for the College Football National Championship broadcast.
