Dr. Graeme Murdock is an Associate Professor in European History at the Department of History, Trinity College Dublin. His research focuses on moral discipline in French-speaking Reformed communities and religious pluralism in Hungary and Transylvania during the early modern period. He teaches undergraduate modules on 16th-17th century Europe, including 'Europe 1500-1700: Power and belief', and postgraduate courses on religious and cultural history. His work examines topics such as Habsburg persecution, Calvinist theology, and the intersection of dress and religious regulation.
Publications include Calvinism on the Frontier (2000) and edited volumes like Confessional Identity in East-Central Europe (2002). He advises doctoral students on early modern religious and cultural history. His research bridges theological analysis, political history, and material culture studies, offering insights into how Reformed communities navigated confessional tensions in Europe.
