Dr Grace Carrington is a Research Fellow at City St George's, University of London, holding a joint appointment at the UCL Institute of the Americas. She specializes in the history of twentieth century decolonisation in the Anglophone and Francophone Caribbean.

Grace Carrington's research explores the complex political transformations in the Caribbean during decolonisation. Her work particularly investigates the interplay between monarchy, republicanism, and anticolonial movements. She is currently analyzing non-sovereign Caribbean territories within the broader narrative of global decolonisation, as detailed in her forthcoming monograph Decolonisation Beyond Independence: Non-Sovereign States in the Caribbean.

Dr Carrington is a key member of the interdisciplinary AHRC-funded Visible Crown project, which examines the role of the monarchy in decolonisation.
