Gounis Kostas is a Professor of Urban Anthropology at the Department of Sociology, University of Crete. His research focuses on homelessness, poverty, and social crisis management, particularly in urban contexts. He has published extensively on the governance of homelessness in Athens and comparative studies between North American and European cities.
