Gordon Christopher is an Associate Professor and Associate Chair for Research and Operations in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas Tech University's Whitacre College of Engineering. He joined Texas Tech in 2011 after completing postdoctoral work at the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Current research themes include interfacial viscoelasticity in particle-laden systems, biofilm mechanics, and rheological optimization of colloidal ink printing for 3D manufacturing applications with relevance to industrial processing, biomedical systems, and environmental engineering.
Scientific Awards include:
- Whitacre Research Fellow
- TA Distinguished Young Rheologist award
His lab collaborates across disciplines to study emulsion stability, bacterial biofilm mechanics, and additive manufacturing of complex materials, with applications spanning petroleum processing, medical devices, and wastewater treatment.
