Gordon Agnew is an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Waterloo. He is a co-founder of Certicom Corp and holds prestigious fellowships from the Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications and the Canadian Academy of Engineering. His research focuses on cryptography, data security, communication security, blockchain systems, and high-speed communication networks.
Education:

Research Interests: Dr. Agnew’s work encompasses cryptographic protocols, network security mechanisms, and high-performance communication systems. He explores practical applications of blockchain technology and has contributed to authentication frameworks for cellular networks and MANETs. His expertise spans covert channel analysis, sensor network operations, and end-to-end security comparisons in wireless systems.
