Gonzalez

Gonzalez is a faculty member at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University, leading the Chronic Disease Self-Management (CDSM) Lab. The lab focuses on clinically meaningful research linking emotional distress and treatment adherence in chronic illnesses like diabetes and epilepsy.

• Research Areas: Health Psychology, Behavioral Medicine, Diabetes Distress, Treatment Adherence, Psychosocial Interventions, Underserved Populations.
• Collaborations: Einstein Diabetes Research Center Prevention and Control Core.

Lab Activities: The CDSM Lab emphasizes methodology, underserved populations, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Recent projects include the FEEL-T1D study and a telemedicine-based CBT trial for Type 1 Diabetes.
