Golshah Naghdy is an Associate Professor and Honorary Fellow at the University of Wollongong's School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering. Her research focuses on robotics, biomedical engineering, and human motion analysis, with applications in adaptive control systems and machine learning. She has supervised numerous PhD and Master’s students in areas such as driver fatigue detection, robot-assisted rehabilitation, and frailty assessment in older adults.
Her recent work includes studies on collaborative vehicle systems, haptic feedback in driver assistance, and the integration of IoT and blockchain technologies. Key projects involve developing adaptive control systems for electric vehicles, improving human-robot interaction in healthcare, and analyzing driver behavior post-pandemic.
Naghdy has contributed to over 100 publications, including works on fatigue detection algorithms, biomechanical assessments, and robotic rehabilitation systems. She has secured grants for projects like haptic-rendered musical instruments and ICT curriculum development. Her research bridges engineering and healthcare, addressing challenges in aging populations and assistive technologies.
