Gokul Prasad Paudel

Dr. Gokul Prasad Paudel is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Environmental Economics and World Trade at Leibniz University Hannover. He holds a Master of Science in Agriculture (2009, Tribhuvan University, Nepal) and completed his PhD in 2025 at the same institute. His research focuses on sustainable intensification of agricultural systems, with emphases on smallholder systems, climate adaptation, and socio-economic aspects of agricultural technology adoption.

His professional trajectory includes roles as a Socio-Economist at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT, 2011–2021), followed by a PhD (2021–2025) and his current Post Doc position. Key projects include evaluating sustainable intensification technologies in South Asian rice-wheat systems and analyzing climate change impacts on water resources and crop production.
