Gokhan Gercek

Dr. Gokhan Gercek serves as Professor of Management Information Systems in the College of Business at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. His professional background includes 12 years as a computer network lead engineer at Lockheed Martin (1989-2001), where he contributed to NASA's Space Station Freedom DMS Architecture and designed the Mass Memory Unit for the space shuttle.

His research focuses on practical networking implementations with emphasis on:

• Design, implementation, and troubleshooting of LANs, WANs, and Intranets
• Firewall configuration and Network Security systems
• ISDN and voice dial-in router deployment
