Glyndell B. Presley

Glyndell B. Presley, Ed.D., is an Adjunct Professor at Florida A&M University's School of Journalism & Graphic Communication. Her professional background includes leadership roles in media production, public relations, and education. She holds an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Teaching from Northcentral University (2020), an M.S. in Journalism (2004), and a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism (1991), both from FAMU.

Her research focuses on African American history in media, particularly the Black Press, and explores alternative corrective measures in education to address disparities in school discipline for Black males. She has contributed to books chronicling FAMU’s institutional history and the development of its College of Education.

Presley has received awards for her work in media relations, including the Special Merit Award (2008) and Award of Excellence (2008) from District CASE III. She also serves as an ELA instructor at Madison County High School and advises journalism programs at the secondary level. Her community involvement includes roles in educational foundations and civic organizations.

Teaching responsibilities include courses like JOU 1040E (Online Language Skills for Media Professionals) and MMC 2100 (Mass Media Methods). She emphasizes project-based learning to engage students creatively.
