Dr. Glenn Smith is an Associate Professor in the College of Education at the University of South Florida. His research focuses on instructional technology, particularly how computer games and digital eBooks enhance learning in science, language arts, and mathematics. He teaches graduate courses in game design, game analytics, web programming, and educational media design.

His work explores spatial situation models, hybrid learning, and visuospatial cognitive strategies. Recent studies analyze game-based vocabulary acquisition and narrative-driven STEM engagement. Dr. Smith is a Fulbright Scholar and holds a patent for interactive eBook technology. His awards include NSF-sponsored conference invitations and recognition in the Interactive Multimedia Electronic Journal. He coordinates the M.Ed in Instructional Technology program and advises the GameDevClub at USF.
