Glenn A. Milne is a Full Professor and Chair of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Science. He directs the Geology undergraduate programs and leads the Earth System Modelling Group. He holds degrees from the University of Edinburgh (BSc, 1990), University of Toronto (MSc, 1992; PhD, 1998).
His research focuses on geophysical interactions between ice sheets, Earth deformation, and climate change. Key interests include sea-level changes, glacial isostatic adjustment, mantle dynamics, and geodesy. Current projects model climate-driven sea-level variations and subglacial Earth dynamics.
Recent work includes studies on North American glacial isostasy (2023), Greenland seismic anisotropy (2023), and Gulf of Maine sea-level reconstructions (2023). He advises MSc students like Geoffrey Chapman (defended 2024) and Alexis Lepipas (joined 2023). His lab operates within the STEM Complex at the University of Ottawa.
