Glen Benedict

Glen Benedict is an Assistant Professor at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) Library. His work centers on intellectual freedom, censorship, and privacy in library services.

His research focuses on privacy rights, book banning trends, and intellectual freedom. He has contributed to publications on career pathways in librarianship and censorship challenges in recent years.

Notable presentations include advocacy for trans patron privacy, defending diverse comics and cosplay, and leveraging archival materials for social justice. Benedict holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies from SUNY Buffalo and dual bachelor’s degrees in Management and Philosophy from Houghton College.
