Giuseppe Lombardo

Dr. Giuseppe Lombardo is an Associate Professor in Engineering at the University of Palermo's Polytechnic School, specializing in Aerospace Propulsion. He graduated in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Palermo and has industry experience at Agusta and Aeritalia. His research focuses on combustion instabilities in solid propellant rocket motors, nonlinear analysis methods, and propulsion system optimization.

Research interests include developing models for nonlinear combustion analysis in rocket motors, computational fluid dynamics for propulsion systems, and sustainable aerospace technologies. Recent work explores neural network applications for turbofan performance estimation and wave propagation in solid rocket motors.
