Giuseppe Chiappinelli

Giuseppe Chiappinelli is an Associate Professor at the Polytechnic University of Turin, affiliated with the Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering (DIATI) and the SISCON Interdepartmental Center for infrastructure safety. With expertise in advanced materials, bituminous mixtures, and construction site management, he leads research projects funded by competitive calls and commercial contracts.

• Research Focus: Specializes in sustainable road materials, including recycled plastic asphalt, polymer-modified bitumen, and nano-additives for enhanced fatigue resistance and self-repair. His work addresses Goal 9 of the SDGs, emphasizing infrastructure innovation.
• Teaching: Course Lecturer for Civil Works Construction Sites and Construction Site Safety modules in Civil and Environmental Engineering programs, spanning 2010-2025.
